2021 Girls Soccer Varsity Parent Information

Welcome to the 2021 Adams Varsity Soccer season! We are excited to see the girls out on the field for the first time in a Highlander uniform in over a year!

Please go over the following information and complete steps 1-13 below by April 6th. In step 13, a check will need to be written to “RCS” and will be collected at practice on Tuesday April 6th.

*If you have any questions or concerns, including possible financial issues please do not hesitate to contact the coaching staff via email or phone. We will always work with our families to provide the best opportunities for our kids.

*Please read and complete Steps 1-13*

Step 1: Pay to Participate

• Click on the button below to Pay your Pay to participate fee online.

• The Pay to Participate fee goes to the district and does not impact our soccer budget.

• Pay to participate must be completed online before our first game.

Step 2: Program Fee

• Our program fee is$200. (You will write one check to RCS with all fees. Refer to step 13 when finished.)

• This fee is our budget for the season. Since we have a program fee, we will not need to fundraise.

  • What will the funds be used for?

    • replacing old equipment and purchasing new training gear Yearly

    • New Soccer Nets for stadium goals

    • TeamSnap Subscriptions

    • Practice field rental at OU for Varsity. This will give JVA Practice time on the turf, and JVB possible practice time on the turf at Adams

    • Tournament and Referee Fees

    • Practice Soccer balls for Varsity, JVA and JVB

    • Game soccer balls for Varsity, JVA and JVB

    • Getting all Varsity games professionally filmed

    • Subscription to Hudl, the site that houses our game film and allows players to make highlight tapes for college recruiting.

    • Senior night gifts for Senior players

    • Highlight tape for all Varsity players for the season

    • End of the year book for Varsity, JVA and JVB

    • Saving for New uniforms for our next Uniform Cycle

    • and any other needs for the program

Step 3: Practice Gear and Game Socks

• Our practice gear fee is $125. (You will write one check to RCS with all fees. Refer to step 13 when finished.)

  • EACH PLAYER will receive THE FOLLOWING PRACTICE GEAR items THAT MUST BE WORN AT EVERY PRACTICE...

    • Two PAIRS OF PRACTICE SHORTS

    • two SHORT SLEEVE DRI-FIT SHIRTs

    • ONE LONG SLEEVE hoodie DRI-FIT SHIRT

    • ONE Nike HOODie

  • EACH PLAYER will receive two pairs of game socks that must be worn with our uniforms...

    • One pair of White Game Socks

    • One PAIR OF Gold GAME SOCKS

  • All of this equipment will be handed out after practice on Monday, April 5th.

Step 4: Booster Club Membership

Please join the booster club.  Along with our program fee, the booster club supports our program whenever we ask with thousands of dollars.  Your support will allow them to continue supporting us! You can purchase your membership online by clicking the button below.

Step 5: Senior Banners and Yard Signs

• Senior Banners and Yard Signs will be purchased through the Booster Club.  Download the forms below to purchase.

• These forms and Fees will be collected at a later date organized by one of our parent volunteers.

• If you are interested in helping with this effort you can volunteer for it in step 9.

Step 6: Parent Spirit Wear

• Parent spirit wear for Adams soccer can be purchased by clicking the link below through BSN.

• Our program does not make any profits from spirit wear.

• The online store closes on April 6th and the orders will be delivered up to three weeks later.

Step 7: Communication

• We use TeamSnap for all program communication.  All game and practice schedules will be uploaded there.  YOu will receive reminder emails regarding these events, so make sure to have accurate contact information updated.

• Also, download the TeamSnap app to stay current with our schedule.

• adamssoccer.com is our program website.  Please take a second and bookmark it to your browser.

• We will be using various social media platforms this year to help showcase our program.  Follow us below.

Step 8: Game Schedule

• All practices and games will be posted on Teamsnap. The link below is also updated automatically by our district with any schedule changes.

Step 9: Volunteering

• THE PROGRAM NEEDS VOLUNTEERS TO HELP MAKE IT A SUCCESS. We ask that you volunteer for one of the open positions this season.

• Currently, there will not be any concessions or team dinners this year.

  • Concessions are run by the school district and will not open unless the school district decides to open them.

  • We are not having Team Dinners this season to minimize possible quarentines, and hopefully keep our girls playing the entire season.

• If this changes, we will add sign up sheets for these positions at a later date.

• Any unfilled positions will not be able to be run for our players, so Please take a few minutes and sign up for any of the following…

  • Descriptions of the volunteer positions are explained in the google form for each job.

Step 10: Covid 19-Testing

• Due to the current Governor’s orders, we will be testing all of our girls for Covid-19 every Monday before practice. Your Daughter’s have been given consent forms to fill out and sign. We will be contacting anyone missing these forms in the near future via teamsnap.

Step 11: Masks

• Masks must be worn during practice and games throughout the season.

• We must make sure that the mask does not come off or slip down while on the field during a game.

• Athletic Directors and Referees are enforcing the mask rules. If they are not followed, we may be forced to forfeit.

• We want to avoid all of these issues. Coaches just want to coach during the games. We do not want to have to constantly tell players to put their masks back on.

• Please invest in a mask that stays in place while exercising. There are many options out there that are made with straps.

• Links to order the mask on the right are below. This mask is not mandatory or endorsed by the coaches, but is just one option of many out there.

• please consider investing in one before our first game.

Step 12: BROWN AND GOLD SOCCER CAMP 2021 Registration Open

• The 2021 Brown and Gold soccer camp is our opening event for the 2022 season. We also offer a speed and conditioning Program.

  • Registration for both of these camps are now open.

  • We would love to see you all there with us this summer.

• *Brown and Gold Girls Soccer Camp

  • July 26th-30th (Monday-Friday) from 9am-Noon

    • Location: Oakland University Turf Fields

      • Registration Ends July 12th

• *Brown and Gold Speed and Conditioning Camp

  • July 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st from 9am-10:30am

    • Location: Oakland University Turf Fields

      • Registration ends July 5th

        *These camps are not mandatory to attend

Step 13: Check to RCS

• Please have your daughter bring a $325 Check made out to “RCS” to practice on Tuesday April 6th

• Your daughter will turn the check into coach Hickey.
